Hello from Boston! I have officially been in Boston, MA for one week now and I am loving every second of it. I have spent a lot of my time so far working with our Children's Minister on various projects and weekly things that need to be taken care of for services each week.
One of our large projects right now if overhauling the organization systems at Hope. This week we worked to reorganize the kid's ministry area downstairs and will be moving to organizing backstock in the attic space soon.
Another large project I have been working on is preparing for Adventure Week (VBS) next month! We will be transforming the church into a gigantic boardgame and inviting kids into the church to learn about God's plan for their life.
This week has been so exciting and has been full of new experiences but it has also been reminding me of the importance of relying on Christ always. Everytime I have travelled away from home, I have gone with a team. This time I am here alone. This is definitely exciting but can also feel very isolating! I know I am growing because I have to seek out the Lord rather than lean on others when I feel this way.
I have gotten to meet a lot of amazing believers through Hope and I look forward to building a community here that I can learn and grow with for the summer. I am looking forward to serving with this church that has served me over the past couple of years and I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store for the rest of the summer!
